As I write this, I am planning a trip to Thailand. But I can’t leave the country until my visa paperwork is done processing. So here I am. Back in my home town of San Miguel de Allende. Waiting.
I want to make the best out of my stay here. Spend time with the friends I haven’t seen in a while. Make as much money possible. Take advantage of not having to live out of a backpack and enjoy having variety in clothing. Be thankful for having a home, with a kitchen and a washing machine.
But still, it’s bitter sweet.
As always, I channel this into what I create. So on one of my first nights back I drove into the countryside and took these photos. The field was full of mosquitos and grasshoppers. I got mud all over my shoes and burrs all up my socks. But, it was worth it.
