On my walk to and from the office where I work in San Miguel de Allende, I try to find a new route every day. This way I have new things to photograph on my commute. And though most everything I capture feels so familiar to me, I can still see how beautiful it is here to anyone who has yet to explore San Miguel.
Taking photos here is completely in my comfort zone, but not until this month did I actively make a point of practicing weekly, if not daily. I have no excuses. I HAVE to be in the habit of seeing the world through my lens, so that when I am abroad, I don’t second guess how to use my camera. I would hate to be in India and not be able to capture a moment because I forgot to format my memory card, underexpose, or charge my battery.
